Usha Uthup celebrated her 60th Birthday with the contestants. all the 10 contestents along with varun, bineetha and others.

the contestants got a beautiful birthday gift - bangles, flowers a nice kanchjeevam saree, bindi.usha didi became very emotional while reading the birthday card.

It was a great guesture on part of the participants.

Also in yesterday's episode Thushar was completely off beat and track scorded a very low marks (as per his standard).

Elimination Results - 6th Round

Really shocking News, both Murali and Sudarshan has been eliminated. Also Mufeeda has been eliminated.

I believe by the time viewers could have recovered from the shock of murali's elimination, announcement of sudarshan was a bigger shock. It was very emotional moment. Sarath The judge was loss of word and Usha Uthup was not able to hold her tears back.

The other participants who were in the danger zone was Ritvik,Sanni and Arun Gopan. Thank god they managed to go thru the next round.

Now there are 17 contestant who would compete in the next round.

Saturday evening, i belive all the Asianet viewers had a great time in watching the 100th episode of Idea Star Singer 2007.

All the singers came together and gave us a wonderful entertainment. few of the contestants have improved a lot to name a few - Najim ,Tusshar,Arun Gopan, Sachidanadans. When these 9 boys were performing together it was really a treat to watch.

After the overwhelming success Asianet star singer 2006. The Idea star singer 2007 is much bigger event. From the time the show was announced hundred and hundred’s of participants wanted to try there luck.

The judges empanelled were Mr. M.G.Sreekumar, Mr. Sarath and Ms.Usha Uthup. It was really a tough decision for the judges to judge the participants. The event is getting tougher and better than ever as the contestant’s number is again narrowed.

Now it’s reached a interesting stage with 20 contestants who will perform in front of the judges and a live studio audience in the coming episodes.Forthcoming episodes will carry out two rounds – Solo Performance and a Ragam Round.
